NSML participates at the 2021 World Maritime Day Event

NLNG Ship Management Limited (NSML) joined other maritime stakeholders to celebrate the “2021 World Maritime Day”, organised by the Federal Ministry of Transportation, on Thursday, 30th September 2021, at the Eko Hotels & Suites in Victoria Island, Lagos. The theme of this year’s conference was “Seafarers: At the Core of Shipping’s Future”, and it focused on the critical roles of seafarers as key stakeholders in the maritime industry and essential workers in the global economy.

The Managing Director/CEO of NSML, Abdulkadir Ahmed, presented a well-received paper on “Shipping Development and the Future of Seafarers” which highlighted the various positive and indelible contributions of Nigeria LNG Limited (NLNG) and NSML to the development of Nigerian seafarers and the domestic maritime sector over the years, in line with the vision of “helping to build a better Nigeria”.

Ahmed also joined other presenters at the technical session of the event to discuss pertinent issues relating to the training, development, welfare and well-being of Nigerian seafarers.

The World Maritime Day is an annual event organised by the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) to highlight the importance of shipping and the maritimesector to the development of the global  economy.
