NLNG Terminal Achieves Ecoport Certification

The NLNG Terminal, Bonny Island, has successfully renewed its EcoPort Port Environmental Review System (PERS) certification, reaffirming its commitment to environmental excellence and the adoption of leading global standards in port and terminal operations.

EcoPort PERS is the only port sector-specific environmental management standard and is recognised among leading ports and terminals globally. The successful renewal of the certification demonstrates the continued compliance of the NLNG Bonny Terminal’s facilities and operations with internationally recognised environmental management practices.

The renewal further reflects the proactive leadership of the NSML Terminal Services team in maintaining high standards of environmental performance, embedding sustainable practices across terminal operations, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

As the first port/terminal in Sub-Saharan Africa to achieve EcoPort PERS certification, the NLNG Bonny Terminal continues to hold a pioneering position in the region.

This achievement is a testament to NSML’s continued commitment to operational excellence, environmental stewardship, and the pursuit of global best practices.
