NSML was a major sponsor of the 2024 Association of Maritime Journalists of Nigeria (AMJON) conference, which held on Thursday, 22nd August at the Sheraton Hotel in Ikeja, Lagos State. The theme of the event centred on maritime finance and insurance for vessel acquisition and construction.
The MD/CEO of NSML, Abdulkadir K. Ahmed, gave the keynote address at the event. His address focused on the importance of regulations, standards, and competence in the process of raising finance for vessel acquisition and construction. He stressed the need to adopt a holistic approach that goes beyond financing to engender sustainable growth, safety, and operational excellence in the Nigerian maritime industry.
The event was well attended by stakeholders from Government, Maritime Regulators, Organised Private Sector, the Financial Services industry and the Media.
