NSML’s Maritime Centre of Excellence (MCOE) has been approved byt the UK Maritie and Coastguard Agency (UK MCA), the agency of the UK Department for Transport responsible for regulating Maritime Standards and Safety, to deliver and issue certificated for the STCW 2010 Electronics Chart Display and Infformatio System (ECDIS) and Basic Liquefied Gas Tanker Cargo Operations courses.
These courses are mandatory programs for seafarers in the global maritime industry, and they are essentaul in enhacing maritime safety operations, modern maritime navigation, whilst enhancing competence development and operational efficiency.
These accrediations come after a two-year rigorous and intensive review process of the MCOE by the UK MCA. The UK MCA accrediation is the “Gold Standard: accrediation for maritime training programs globally, and the MCOE is the first training centre in Africa certified to deliver these courses. This is a landmark and noteworthy achievement for NSML, a testament to the execellent standards of the MCOE, and in line with NSL’s overall sustainability and growth strategy.
